The Shoreham Allstars is a well established young musicians’ collective based in Shoreham-by Sea, Lancing and Worthing in West Sussex.
Its mission is to give young musicians from all backgrounds and of all abilities opportunities to experience the many facets of music through an established programme of live events and activities throughout the year for them to participate in.
The collective is made up of young musicians aged from 7 to 18 who get the opportunity to play at all the events on the Allstars yearly gig programme and who can build their confidence, creativity and ability in music within a strong and supportive network of like-minded musicians.
We have developed a great reputation for working with young musicians. We are well known in the local community through our regular appearances at leading local events and because of the involvement of so much young local talent.
MUSIC IS THE MISSION
Since its inception the Shoreham Allstars have achieved the following milestones:
- The young musicians within the Allstars have recorded 150 original songs.
- Original Allstars Music has organised and stage-managed over 400 live events.
- Through its events, the collective has raised valuable funds for various charities including ‘Love Your Hospital (during the COVID crisis), Shoreham Foodbank, Chestnut Tree House and many others.
- Its members wrote an anti-bullying charity song (for charity ‘Bullies Out”) that was sung by 100 local schoolchildren and raised awareness and funds for the charity.
- The Allstars musicians provided the music for the historic opening of the Adur Ferry Bridge on Shoreham.
- It has a current membership of 70 young musicians with an average age of 13.
- Allstars bands were the only local bands to perform at the major UK festival, Wildlife 2015, 2016 and 2017.
- The Allstars developed its own festival (Moon and Stars Festival) which is devoted to giving young bands a platform. This festival now runs as a stage which gives more opportunities for young people to perform.
- Musicians that have started in the Allstars have gone on to great success, signing to labels, becoming session musicians and touring in bands across Europe and the US (see testimonials page for their quotes).

The Allstars is part of the Original Allstars Music Community Interest Company which is focused on giving young musicians opportunities to experience the many facets of music through an established programme of live events and activities throughout the year for them to participate in.
